I Got Stabbed in the Face!

So I had this idea for a new tattoo, and I went into the shop as soon as I could. While I was waiting for my artist, I saw another employee with a gorgeous cheek piercing and asked if they did that. The piercer said he could do that for me while my tattooist was getting ready, and while their stock of jewellery didn’t offer a lot of choice on that day, I did see something in a gorgeous blue colour and went with that. But after it was in my face, I realized it was actually a pretty prominent spike, and while the hue worked for me, the overall form did not. Unfortunately, most of the people in the shop informed me that I’d have to wait for two months at least to change the piercing, which didn’t sit totally well with me. Then the piercer said “Well, it’s risky, and it might suck because of all the extra trauma to your face, but I can try taking it out and putting a new one in.” So we did, and so far it’s fine. And I’m staying on brand by doing things in the dumbest possible ways and thereby making things far harder for myself than they need to be. XD

Worst stabbing in the face?

That one with Oberyn on “Game of Thrones” was pretty brutal. I think it was the first character death on that show to really hit me. I liked that dude.

Delaying Legs

There’s this online store called Wild Bangarang that makes the best leggings. Among their many virtues is the fact that they fit with such perfect comfort on me. I don’t know if my buttocks are oddly shaped, but some other leggings slip down when I’m active at times. These don’t. And they’re shiny. Fabulous. So amazing.

In midsummer, I saw some grand new leggings in their Instagram story and was told it was a sneak peek at a future release. Several new releases came over the ensuing months, but those did not pop up. As Halloween approached, they released a holiday collection, which prompted me to take a deeper look at their site to see if there was any chance of my missing something. I doubted it, but that doubt was wrong. Somehow I was late by an order of weeks for those amazing leggings I’d seen so long ago. And there was another pair at a comparable level of grandeur! Got both. They’re here. I’m happy.

Earring Saga

I came back from my first haircut since March to find that an earring had been inadvertently knocked out in the process. I couldn’t find any of my good old earrings for some reason, and since the only thing I could find to keep the whole open made my lobe react somewhat poorly, I ordered a cool kind of cosmical replacement from Etsy.

After having the new stud in my ear for a day, I randomly found one of my best earrings on the floor while I was working out. This was also the last day I had to work out at home, since my local gym was letting me back right after that. I know it wasn’t the earring I lost because it was screwed in far too tight. After a good wash, it’s back in my ear, and the Etsy stud is back in its box for the nonce.
